Within its half decade, Mic-Rob has caught on expediently. While many new talents strayed towards cookie cutter music that trades quantity for quality, Mic originally from LA. emulated talents, such as Slum Village, Nas and even The Dogg Pound in slow-crafted, conceptual music.
In early 2009' Mic teamed up with crooner and former Drummer for bands “Audiovent and Under the Influence of Giants” Jamin Wilcox on smash hit “I know What You’re Doing” top the Wild top twenty countdown for three straight weeks. Also available on i tunes.
Like the golden era icons, Mic-Rob, while quietly creating his debut album, has focused on making sure their live show is well…live. Mic has performed in Sacramento and San Francisco, as well as consistent show openings in Reno for superstars like Grammy Award winning Brandy, Game , Too Short, Digital Underground, Baby Bash, Biz Markie, Naughty By Nature , Mike Jones, Nelly, Paul Wall, Chamillionare, Snoop Dogg , X Zibit, The Luniz, The Clipse, Fabulous, Bone Thugs in Harmony and Yukmouth to name few. With all of his endorsements and props, Mic-Rob reminds his fans that this is by no means an overnight success. Let’s just say this is an artist that’s focuses on chemistry above the popular rap expectations.
